2017 South Suburban Housing Center Summer VISTA
 
 
 
In 2016, SSHC became involved with two (2) “fee for service” grant programs. Each program, both administered by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) is designed to directly benefit clients, with funding provided to SSHC only upon successfully assisting clients. Both IHDA and SSHC has targeted the Kankakee market as an opportunity area that has been difficult to reach clients. The VISTA will reach out and re-engage clients as well as track outcomes of our foreclosure assistance program using our client management system. Through this targeted client engagement initiative, SSHC hopes to expand the awareness of mortgage distress assistance available to clients, while simultaneously expanding our opportunity for increased revenue.

Member Duties : Develop a strategy for outreach to at least 100 new & unresponsive clients (Telephone & Email outreach scripts, Targeted outreach campaign to Kankakee market). Track outcomes, provide client direction & reassign/re-engage client with South Suburban Housing Center counselor.
