VISTA Bridges Team Lead
 
 
 
The United Way of Greenville County in Upstate South Carolina is looking for 1 team leader who is high-impact, results-driven, service-oriented, passionate candidate, to lead the way in our new Collective Impact approach to community and economic development. Join our dynamic team and serve with an internationally leading organization like United Way to improve our ability as a community to reach low income individuals and lead them onto the Cycle of Success. Essential to this effort is a first of its kind data integration collaborative, unique to any community. This project includes, a multi-agency collaborative to collect and track individual client level data from dozens of United Way partner organizations in order to measure impact and the effectiveness of investments to help families achieve self-sufficiency. You will also help build the capacity of the overall program structure by providing support and trainings to the other members, by working with our program staff and partner nonprofits. Activities may include, grant writing, process and procedure development, volunteer recruitment and training, and research and sustainability planning. This is a great opportunity for recent service member who want to continue with another year of service in a new or different way. This position requires that a team leader have at least one year of service experience prior to serving as a team leader. Service with AmeriCorps VISTA, AmeriCorps State and National, or Peace Corps count for prior service experiences. If you have the desire to serve others, have skills or experience related to communications, fund-raising/grant writing, recruitment, and/or computers and technology, you would be a great fit for our program.

Member Duties : Learn and understand the overall workings of the AmeriCorps Bridges program and provide capacity building activities for a United Way of Greenville County. Additionally, provide support to a team of 9 VISTA members through training and cultivation of positive team culture. Activities may include, but are not limited to: Grant Writing • Volunteer Recruitment and Training • Research and Data management • Networking • Marketing and Communications • Sustainability Planning Essential Competencies: • Flexibility/Resilience • Ability to Work Independently • Ability to Multi-Task • Ability to understand people from diverse backgrounds • Results-Oriented Thinking and Behavior • Awareness and Sensitivity to the External • Technology Proficient
