AHEC-Program Development
 
 
 
AHEC working in collaboration with the various agencies serving the West Central Texas Region will address health care shortages through program development. The VISTA will be based in Abilene to work with the development and delivery of community based programs. The focus of the AHEC VISTA program is to create programs to meet the needs of the underserved, ethnic minority, and economically disadvantaged populations.

Member Duties : The VISTA will work toward building sustainable programs and community outreach through capacity-building efforts, specifically he/she will: 1) Assist agencies for the development and delivery of community based programs 2) Enhance existing community-based assets through the promotion of economic opportunity
