Community Engagement Specialist - KOM

The Karen Organization of Minnesota (KOM) is the first social services organization in the U.S. to be founded by Karen refugees from Burma. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all refugees from Burma in Minnesota. KOM helps over 2,000 refugees each year find jobs, housing, education, and other community resources to ease their transition to American society. Most of KOM’s staff and board members are refugees from Burma, giving us a unique ability to deliver culturally competent services and stay relevant with the community’s evolving goals.
