2017 HOME Dupage
The goal of the project is to continue developing a robust, sustainable Volunteer Program for H.O.M.E. DuPage (H.D.). This program will continue to achieve a year two initiative for H.D. this type of program will 1) enable us to increase our outreach to a more varied population within the county, for homeowners affected by foreclosure crisis, low income residents who are seeking family stability through homeownership, seniors in need of reverse mortgage counseling and households in need of financial literacy education to lift themselves out of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency; 2) continue to address our need for volunteer interpreters to better serve our non-English speaking populations, and continue to provide sustainability of recruitment procedures; 3) continue building resources for the organization by providing planned and ongoing recruitment and training of volunteers to assist staff and Board to fulfill our mission.

Member Duties : The Volunteer Manager VISTA will: (1) Work with Director of Operations and Executive Director in order to learn our organizations structure, meet our existing partners, understand our donor base and learn the nature and content of our services. This will assist in continuing creating a plan for recruitment of volunteers. (2) Team up with the Director of Operations and the Executive Director in developing and managing a Volunteer Training Program that will engage volunteers in our activities and help volunteers understand our mission to enable them to assist staff in the accomplishment of that mission.
