2017 Claretian Associates

The South Chicago community is facing a critical lack of affordable housing. Claretian Associates works to develop new housing opportunities for South Chicago families in need of decent, affordable rental housing close to employment and transportation along with resources including social services, youth programming, and the arts. Having a VISTA will make an important difference to the integration of sustainability of the maintenance of affordable rental housing in our community with a goal of assisting in creating housing environments that offer, clean, safe and affordable living block by block.

Member Duties : The Sustainable Development VISTA will: (1) Act as a liaison between Property Management, Social Services and Maintenance teams. (2) Meet regularly with Executive Director and Senior Property Management team to move efforts forward on building sustainability and social service programming. (3) Create volunteer program for local youth to work within our maintenance team.
