2017 CSH
As the leader in the industry of supportive housing (SH), the VISTA will help CSH develop capacity building, technical assistance, and training tools for supportive housing practitioners and tenants on peer support and tenant leadership. Tenant leadership is critical to cultivate in SH and is done through community building activities. Tenant leadership can focus internally, focusing on issues important to tenants related to their choices on property management, activities, rules, etc. It can also focus externally on community involvement, advocacy, or other civic engagement, or both. CSH staff have identified the need for technical assistance and training among providers, which will help improve the quality of supportive housing operations and tenant lives.
