Volunteer Maryland Coordinator 2017/2018
 
 
 
Volunteer Maryland Coordinators develop volunteer programs, including recruitment, screening, placement, training, supervision, evaluation and recognition of volunteers. Volunteer Maryland Coordinator's strategically leverage community engagement with the mission of the organizations where they are placed. They do outreach, plan events, as well as measure and develop storytelling skills around the impact of volunteer service.

Member Duties : WHAT IS VOLUNTEER MARYLAND? Volunteer Maryland (VM) creates volunteer programs with nonprofit organizations, government agencies and schools. Through an 11-month partnership, VM places individuals to serve as AmeriCrops members, called Volunteer Maryland Coordinators (VMCs). With training and support, the Volunteer Maryland Coordinator's role is to create a volunteer program that fits the needs of the organization and the community. WHO ARE VOLUNTEER MARYLAND COORDINATORS? Volunteer Maryland Coordinators are people like you who dedicate 11 months to full-time service as members of AmeriCorps. They have ranged in age from 17 - 79, in educational levels from GED to PhD, and in gender, race, religion, and geographic background. They share a willingness to take on a challenge and a desire to create a lasting change in their communities.
