MNA 2017 - Washtenaw Literacy #2
 
 
 
As a VISTA with Washtenaw Literacy, you’ll work with a fellow VISTA to increase Washtenaw Literacy’s reach, expand programming, and make sure the learners at the Community Opportunity Center are tutored by highly trained volunteers. Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA) is a statewide nonprofit organization that serves its nonprofit members to advance their missions. MNA's vision is that Michigan's nonprofit sector be a vital leader in building and sustaining thriving communities, and MNA believes that active, engaged volunteers are imperative.

Member Duties : • Create and implement a sustainable marketing plan to engage low-income/low-literacy community members in contextualized employment tutoring. • Expand referral and program access through increased service hours. • Provide community outreach at financial literacy events throughout the year. • Recruit, train, and coordinate community volunteers.
