Chisholm Trail RSVP-Friends of the Family Marketing VISTA

Denton County Friends of the Family (DCFOF) located in Corinth, TX is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive services to those impacted by rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence while partnering with the community to promote safety, healing and prevention. In 99% of domestic violence cases, the victim and her/his children experience financial abuse. Financial abuse keeps the victim from obtaining and maintaining financial resources in an attempt for the abuser to control the victim and keep her/him from leaving. In these cases the victims rely on DCFOF to provide the resources necessary to break free of the relationship and create a sustainable life away from their abuser and out of poverty. The Community Marketing Liaison VISTA at DCFOF will build capacity by creating a sustainable system for donor relationships to keep donors informed and connected thus having an impact on donor retention and increased donations. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of his or her time in an office setting. As a Community Marketing Liaison VISTA you will be part of a cohort coordinated by the AmeriCorps VISTA North Texas project at Chisholm Trail RSVP, Inc. Early applications strongly encouraged. To learn more about DCFOF, visit www.dcfof.org.
