2017 Mid Central Community Action
The work that the VISTA will participate in is part of the core vision of MCCA. That is to be a self-sustaining agency of excellence envisioning healthy self- sufficient families interacting positively with one another in strong, safe and diverse neighborhoods to enhance the community while preserving the environment. The VISTA will work within our growing Community Building and Engagement (CB&E) programs. The Community Engagement and Neighborhood Revitalization work that MCCA and the VISTA will be doing will enhance resident interactions and provide an environment of innovation and collaboration that will strengthen our community.

Member Duties : Develop a neighborhood engagement plan to increase resident participation in neighborhood revitalization programs within the MCCA target community development area. Develop plans to identify potential resident leaders and partner with MCCA staff and community leaders to implement resident led engagement initiatives. Develop a neighborhood marketing plan to increase the positive perception of the target community development area in order to increase participation by low-income individuals and families in the MCCA home ownership promotion programs.
