SPNN - Volunteer Program Coordinator (MAVA)

Founded in 1984 to offer a media voice to underrepresented people, SPNN has since grown to harness its unique media arts and technology tools, student-driven teaching expertise, and spirit of innovation to elevate community media arts to a new level, becoming a national model. Located in the heart of St. Paul’s Creative Enterprise Zone, SPNN improves community social, civic, and economic equity via the transformative art of media making and 21st century skill-building. Our mission is to empower people to use media and communications to better lives, use authentic voice, and build common understanding. Through our programming disadvantaged and unrepresented people grow artistically, build confidence, and gain the skills they need to succeed in the workforce or the growing maker’s economy. As the VISTA Volunteer Program Coordinator for SPNN, you will help us achieve our mission by creating and implementing an effective volunteer program that expands our programs and services. You will also be part of the MAVA VISTA cohort, which provides connection and growth for members building volunteer programming across Minnesota. Additionally, you will receive a media making access membership and free digital storytelling classes during service.
