Advance your career while making a difference in the lives of low-income kids and families! Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners is seeking a highly motivated and energetic leader to help us build the volunteer infrastructure for our cradle-to-career education initiative, Great Expectations (GE). Work together with an innovative and highly supportive team to expand and refine this exciting new initiative. Service activities will focus on three main objectives: (1) Recruit and place volunteers in new volunteer opportunities to better serve low income youth. (2) Develop staff and volunteer training to support all new GE volunteers. (3) Create a consistent communication plan for promoting and supporting volunteers and sharing initiative outcomes. Ideal candidates should be interested in education, program development, management and/or community outreach and engagement. Interfaith Outreach will provide $50/month in gas cards and $100/month in rental assistance during your service. Additionally we offer ongoing support and training while assisting you in networking with district school staff and community leaders for professional development. You will have the opportunity to work with a respected suburban nonprofit, learn from an organization with a strong commitment to community engagement and volunteerism, and play a key role in community collaboration at an exciting level. Help connect the passion and care of our community with real opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children today and beyond! Applications accepted on a rolling basis. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply early. Please email your cover letter and resume to Matt Miller at mmiller@iocp.org.
