2017 Hesed House Volunteer Coordinator

Last year, 1,022 unduplicated persons came to our door asking for help. Sufficient funding and community relationships allow us to continue our mission of providing immediate shelter and food for those in need and give us the ability to return them to independent living. The VISTA will improve both of these areas by developing relationships throughout the community and increasing the capacity of the Development Department, ensuring the continued success of Hesed House. The VISTA will do this primarily by taking a lead role of our new thrift store project, with the goal of helping to open a new revenue stream for all Hesed House programs by coordinating volunteers to perform as much of the day-to-day labor at the thrift store as possible.
