19 Mobile Market Outreach (HCFM)
This position is part of the VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program sponsored by United Way of the Piedmont in Spartanburg, SC. You will work with the Mobile Market to conduct community outreach, education, and marketing, ensuring that underserved communities are aware of the market resources. You will also research and implement programs that will engage the surrounding low-income community in the market. The VIP program offers a unique approach to VISTA service, as you will spend 10% of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability. Member Duties : VISTA will create a system for recruiting, managing, and retaining volunteers. VISTA will create and implement a plan for tracking and increasing donations. VISTA will research and implement a process for collecting and tracking demographics of market supporters. VISTA will research needs of community and create and implement educational programming that meets needs. VISTA will develop a comprehensive plan for engaging online audiences through social media and emails.
