VIP - Volunteer Coordinator (BirthMatters)
 
 
 
This position is part of the VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program sponsored by United Way of the Piedmont. BirthMatters is a community-based teen pregnancy prevention and doula program. You will work with BirthMatters to create a volunteer program, recruit and manage volunteers, and increase community awareness. The VIP program offers a unique approach to VISTA service, as you will spend 10% of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability. Member Duties : VISTA will assist & communicate with volunteers to ensure satisfaction and completion of goals. VISTA will increase awareness of services and volunteer opportunities. VISTA will strengthen community partnerships in order to increase services to children and teens in need. VISTA will collect and analyze data to ensure goals are being met.
