VIP - Program & Engagement Coordinator (AH)
 
 
 
This position is part of the VISTAs in the Piedmont (VIP) program sponsored by United Way of the Piedmont. You will be placed at AccessHealth Spartanburg for 90% of your work week, focusing on increasing successful client referrals and program completion for low income, uninsured adults in Spartanburg County, SC. The VISTA role lays the groundwork for developing, maintaining, and growing partnerships with community organizations and volunteer providers. This role is focused on program assessment and development, fund development, and social media engagement. The VIP program offers a unique approach to VISTA service, as you will spend 10% of your time each week working collaboratively with 19 other VISTA members placed in the community to research and implement community-wide solutions focusing on either increasing access to behavioral healthcare or increasing financial stability.

Member Duties : VISTA will implement social media enhancements, creating a blog and recruiting guest bloggers. VISTA will create an onboarding manual for Community Case Workers, utilizing materials available through the South Carolina Community Health Worker Association. VISTA will establish a process to streamline healthcare and community resource referrals. VISTA will research additional funding opportunities for the program and write and submit grants. VISTA will create targeted mailing lists to disseminate information, request funding, and update clients.
