New Futures is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that advocates, educates and collaborates to improve the health and wellness of all New Hampshire residents. Much of New Futures work includes advocating for positive policies that support prevention, treatment, and recovery services for New Hampshire citizens. Further, New Futures has recently expanded its mission to include advocating for proactive health and early childhood policies in the state, continuing to fight for NH children and families. Member Duties : Create community presentations and trainings on navigating the insurance appeals process using New Futures’ Resource Guide for Navigating Treatment; Train providers, recovery coaches, health care navigators/navigators and others on how to navigate the insurance appeals process; Provide community presentations on access to treatment and the insurance appeals process; Provide individual representation/assistance with consumers through the insurance appeal process; Document systemic issues within the health insurance carrier processes; Attend community presentations on access to health care and insurance processes; Provide community engagement support around access to health care issues as needed; and Support communications around trainings and the insurance appeals process as needed. Frequent in-state travel required.
