L.A. Works Volunteer Corps
 
 
 
L.A. Works will be placing 13 passionate, dedicated, highly motivated individuals in nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles. They will help transform their host site’s volunteer programs through more effective volunteer recruitment, placement, and engagement practices. The cohort will gather monthly for ongoing trainings, meetings, and service projects. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be a self-starter who can multi-task, and have experience working in nonprofits or with volunteers.

Member Duties : Responsibilities Include: • Thoroughly assess host site’s volunteer program; • Identify new, creative volunteer roles at host site; • Conduct targeted recruitment efforts online and offline to improve volunteer matches and increase the number of volunteers placed at host site; • Contribute to monthly and annual grant reporting; • Attend monthly meetings and trainings at L.A. Works; • Serve as a Project Leader at L.A.
