Then this VISTA opportunity is just for you. uCodeGirl aims to inspire, equip and empower young girls to pursue opportunities in technology suitable for the 21st century. uCodeGirl offers a pathway to technology careers for teen girls by tapping into their curiosity, skill and potential. The Resource Development VISTA will build the capacity of uCodeGirl by planning, creating and implementing a strategic approach to fund development to increase revenues that supports the depth of the impact of the organization in the community. The work of the VISTA will help uCodeGirl to continue our impact of equipping and empowering young women in technology careers, so that they achieve and exceed their educational potential which in turn increases their earning power for upward mobility in the economic ladder of success. You’ll be a crucial member of a thoughtfully-formed team and others will rely on you to bring your best self to work every day. Member Duties : Resource Development VISTA will build the capacity of uCodeGirl by planning, creating and implementing a strategic approach to fund development to increase revenues that supports the depth of the impact of the organization in the community. - Research and document specific fundraising goals from a diversified group of sources. - Develop a fundraising proposal that serves as a blueprint through the lens of uCodeGirl’s culture, mission, and values. Write grants. - Produce implementation timeline for the solicitation materials and train volunteer solicitors for fund-raising campaigns, track progress and evaluate the potential of fund-raising campaigns and activities.
