Increase Community Development Corporation (INCREASE CDC) is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization with a mission to increase the quality of life through education, entrepreneurship and economic development. We are seeking a Summer VISTA Member to serve as a Volunteer Coordinator to help supervise a growing volunteer base, collect data and track volunteer activities to be used as part of our urban farming economic development plan in partnership with The Miracle Garden in the Linden community to support low-income individuals to improve economic self-sufficiency and increase access to fresh and nutritious foods in a food desert.

Member Duties : The Summer VISTA will work to increase the capacity of the neighborhood community gardens by supervising volunteers and providing direction, coordination, and consultation for all volunteer functions within the community garden. This will include promoting a wide range of volunteer opportunities, creating recommendations for the most efficient use of volunteers, conducting volunteer training, and maintaining volunteer records. The Summer VISTA will also help expand the reach of the gardens by conducting community outreach and developing relationships with community members and organizations.
