WeCAN - Volunteer Coordination Specialist (MAVA)

WeCAN is a community nonprofit that provides support services empowering individuals and families to reach stability and self-sufficiency. Our service area includes 12 cities of far western Hennepin County on the beautiful shores of Lake Minnetonka. WeCAN serves struggling, low income individuals and families by providing food, emergency housing assistance, and support services like school supplies, holiday and birthday gifts, winter gear and more. You will develop a comprehensive volunteer management system to effectively engage, support, recognize and manage new volunteers and harness their passion, skills and experience to combat hunger and poverty in the community we serve. This is a great experience for someone looking to work in a small social service agency and get a feel for the many aspects of holistic client services. We encourage trainings and continuing education and will support your professional development during your tenure with WeCAN. We will provide a monthly $25 gas card to the VISTA member. Please send resume and cover letter to Lisa Floeter at familyadvocate@wecanmn.org.
