Member Duties : The Community Engagement Specialist (CES) will identify underserved communities and coordinate outreach, communication and recruitment activities. The CES will also interact and conduct recruitment and training activities with volunteer groups, as well as some build site responsibilities to support volunteer activities. The CES will network with community and veterans groups and jurisdictional leadership to develop relationships and coordinate revitalization activities.
The CES will assist in some event planning, maintaining accurate communication records and volunteer recordings. The CES will participate in affiliate meetings and will be required to attend additional trainings on and off site. Additional service projects during days of National Service (MLK Jr Day) outside of their service site may be required.
