Social Enterprise Greenhouse Venture Development VISTA

Based in Rhode Island, Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) helps grow businesses that change lives, harnessing the creative energy of its entrepreneurs to cultivate high-impact, purpose-driven, sustainable businesses. Under the supervision of the Program Director, this full-time, Providence-based VISTA will work with the Venture Development team to increase outreach and visibility of SEG services on the South side and West side communities, including access to capital services and continue forming partnerships with community agencies and intermediaries that can refer participants to the program. Additionally, the VISTA will focus on the recruitment and engagement of entrepreneurs servicing marginalized communities. The VISTA will further develop SEG Venture Development programming to be accessible, applicable, and relevant for these populations.

Member Duties : The Venture Development VISTA will: Improve marketing and outreach materials to promote SEG services for target populations; Support coordination of programs accessed by this target population, as necessary; Develop online resources for participants of relevant programs; Develop relationships with community partners to help expand the reach of the entrepreneurs we serve; Recruit participants for business development; Support program activities at hub to serve these ventures; Support development efforts for program expansion including market research and identifying sources of funding.
