Social Enterprise Greenhouse Diversity Initiative VISTA

Based in Rhode Island, Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) helps grow businesses that change lives, harnessing the creative energy of its entrepreneurs to cultivate high-impact, purpose-driven, sustainable businesses. This full-time, Providence-based Diversity Initiative Manager position will work with SEG staff and board leadership to execute and develop expand outreach efforts into more diverse communities. About You: Working in a community-facing role with diverse populations and high potential social entrepreneurs is appealing to you. You're detail-oriented and have a passion for social enterprise and doing your part to make the world a better place. You're a leader, problem-solver, and consensus-builder who learns quickly, communicates persuasively, works collaboratively, and thinks strategically. Bachelor's degree required, strong community outreach experience preferred.

Member Duties : The SEG Diversity Initiative VISTA will: Strengthen existing and develop new partnerships with community based organizations that serve the diverse populations; Identify and recruit mentors of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities; Collaborate to support ongoing diversity programming development; Work with Program Director & CEO on developing, planning and executing programs that support workforce development organizations, cooperatives, and minority-owned businesses; Lead outreach activities; Create language and content appropriate outreach materials; Organize events targeted for diverse communities; Work directly with SEG’s portfolio of ventures to understand their needs and connect them with the services and support they need.
