Iowa College Aid's VISTA program will help students get TO and THROUGH college. The VISTA will work with high schools to implement Iowa College Aid’s college access and success program to increase the number of students who enroll and complete education beyond high school. Additionally, the VISTA will work with local and state partners including colleges, community organizations, GEAR UP Iowa and Local College Access Networks to implement programming and build capacity for communities to sustainably support the college-going process.

Member Duties : VISTA will expand college access and success efforts by assisting schools in creating equitable and sustainable opportunities for students to complete the college-going process. VISTA will develop toolkits, processes and strategies to increase the number of completed college applications and FAFSAs, especially for low-income and underrepresented students. VISTA will assist Iowa College Aid in developing statewide FAFSA, Summer Melt and college fit/match toolkits and adapt components to local needs. Member will develop training resources, promotional materials and resource packets for students and families. VISTA will support school in summer transition programming and in developing a strategy for inclusive college access events. VISTA will develop volunteer recruitment and engagement strategy, including volunteer tracking system and strategy for engaging college representatives and community volunteers in college application, FAFSA Completion, and College Decision Day events.
