Tremont West Development Program VISTA
 
 
 
The Tremont West VISTA 2018 Project will be a great opportunity for a young professional interested in many aspects of community development. This opportunity will give an individual exposure to working directly with the residents and businesses of Tremont. The year will include program development and implementation around housing issues of affordable housing, employment access, and energy and water efficiency and food security.

Member Duties : The Tremont West VISTA project will be an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in careers in community development to explore the many aspects of the work. The VISTA will develop sustainable programs around creating affordable housing and employment access in Tremont. The VISTA will be tasked with addressing food insecurity in Tremont and connecting neighborhood residents to available access points of healthy affordable food in Tremont. Additionally, the VISTA will begin to develop a program around energy and water efficiency in homes. Further duties include: Building on research of previous years and projects Partner with many other organizations Gather data from residents about jobs and resources Encourage residents to increase energy and water efficiency Creating marketing materials
