** MTCC HELP Committee and Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line
 
 
 
As the premier youth development program of the Hi-Line, the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line, based in Havre, MT, strives to enable all young people, especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The goal of this program is to grow the summer feeding program to decrease childhood hunger in Havre, MT. Hill County’s poverty rate is 30% higher than the national average. This project will give these youth not just food assistance, but the knowledge, skills and supplies to provide healthy meals for themselves at home.

Member Duties : The member will present nutrition classes from the Boys & Girls Club “Health Habits” curriculum on a bi-weekly basis to kids at the Boys & Girls Club. The member will offer weekly cooking classes that will focus on healthy, easy to prepare foods that the kids can make at home. The VISTA will help grow the number of youth who participate in the feeding program at the Boys & Girls Club.
