OMF Fundraising/Development Support VISTA
 
 
 
Open Media Foundation (OMF) is seeking an AmeriCorps VISTA member for one year, beginning May 2017. OMF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to putting the power of media and technology into the hands of the people through services, education and tools. This includes video production and website development services, multimedia classes, and the operation of the local public access TV station - Denver Open Media. Join the Open Media Foundation to assist in reaching organizations and individuals who serve low-income communities as we instruct them in the power of media to enhance their missions and broaden their reach. AmeriCorps VISTA members working at OMF have four primary areas of interest: organizing technology and media classes, supporting members of Denver Open Media, conducting outreach to low-income and minority communities, and helping to expand the fundraising capacity of the organization. Each VISTA member will have an emphasis in one or more of these areas. Benefits of this assignment include access to free multimedia classes at OMF and working in an exciting environment of a TV station with other people determined to provide opportunity for positive social change.

Member Duties : OMF Fundraising/Development VISTA Job duties: Mobilize grantwriting; Support grantwriting efforts; Support fundraising staff; Outreach and fundraising events support; Organize silent auction and fundraising dinner; Help with database transition to Salesforce. Mostly regular hours. Interviews will be conducted as they are received and requested. The position needs to be filled by June 30 for an August 14th start.
