Kids At Their Best Summer Associate

Kids At Their Best is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that provides enrichment activities for children in rural Colorado. Living in rural Colorado has its challenges; these can double when you are a kid and triple when the area you live in has a high rate of poverty. Many times there are no activities that are close and transportation is a problem. Other times there just aren't activities or the cost to attend is out of a family's price range. This is where Kids At Their Best comes in. We provide a variety of enrichment activities year round at no cost to the child. That's right - we run entirely on grants and donations. Many times we provide enrichment activities that children would otherwise not have been able to experience. We have found that our proactive approach to these challenges is incredibly successful. We aren't a typical charity - we are a vital stepping stone for rural kids! Our focus area for programs is communities with greater than 50% of their students qualifying for the Free and Reduced Lunch program.
