OneStar: Cause Studio Nonprofit Capacity Building VISTA
 
 
 
Are you a self-motivated team player? Do you have the heart of a servant leader and the drive of an entrepreneur? Are you interested in helping nonprofit organizations build their organizational capacity so they can reach their potential in improving the conditions within their communities? If so, Cause Studio is looking for you. Cause Studio, a fiscally sponsored 501c3 nonprofit initiative of FJC, aims to reduce the number of failing startup nonprofit organizations by providing resources, training and tools that are designed to scale, encourage collaboration and sustain impactful programs and services. This is achieved through a 3-year cohort and curriculum based incubator, community workshops, networking events, and leadership development training. As part of the growth plan, a new initiative will launch in 2017 that creates a fellowship program that will work directly with startup nonprofit organizations who impact the local North Texas community. The fellows will be assigned to organizations to help improve the capacity in the areas of budget, finance, marketing, fund development, and operations. Cause Studio is seeking a Nonprofit Capacity Building VISTA to lead the development of the fellowship structure, as well as execute the recruitment. community outreach and fundraising processes that will support this new initiative. This is an awesome opportunity for those interested in community development within underserved urban communities.

Member Duties : The Nonprofit Capacity Building VISTA will build the infrastructure of Cause Studio’s regional fellowship program that will support local startup nonprofit organizations through the development of the fellowship structure, leading community outreach and recruitment initiatives, and monitoring the day to day operations during the development phase.
