WRCDC is creating an Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Sale program to fight vacancy and blight in Lake County, Ohio. WRCDC’s new Housing Acquisition Coordinator will play an integral role by working directly with our partners; National Community Stabilization Trust (NCST), Lake County Land Bank, local realtors, Conway Land Title Company, Tony R. Wells Foundation and other financial partners to determine the most appropriate properties to acquire, how best to rehabilitate them, and then market the properties for sale on the fair and open market.

Member Duties : • Maintain and utilize existing financing for the Acquisition, and Rehabilitation of sub-standard housing in Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula or Cuyahoga Counties. • Acquire at least three properties through these financing mechanisms • Provide oversight to ensure the financing option is used to rehabilitate this property using the conditions of the WRCDC energy efficient and healthy homes guidelines • Provide oversight into the marketing and sale of the property • Ensure that the line of credit is able to be reimbursed with the proceeds of the sale, and available for future projects, using any revenue to work towards the goal of a self-sufficient program model • Amend the existing codified rules, guidelines, and procedures for the purpose of improving how to utilize financing for housing acquisition and rehabilitation.
