The Resident Resource Coordinator will support and enhance the collective impact work taking place with the Central Neighborhood’s Healthy Eating, Active Living (HEAL) Network in Cleveland, Ohio. As the Resident Resource Coordinator, the VISTA member will help train and support resident ambassadors who are looking to increase their leadership capacity while improving access to healthy foods in their community. The HEAL Network is a collaborative effort of Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. with support of the Sister of Charity Foundation, local and state agencies, and community partners to have an impact on health, economic opportunities and the quality of life of Central residents. The mission of the network is to better align food access and health-oriented programming in schools, worksites, food outlets, and other community assets. The VISTA member will provide support to both partner institutions and community residents to support the mission of the HEAL Network, offer opportunities for collaboration, and enhance the delivery of healthy food access programs.
