ShareCorps - The Foodbank, Inc. - Summer Associate
 
 
 
The Foodbank serves three counties in Ohio: Montgomery, Greene, and Preble. Currently, 127,630 residents of our community are food insecure. In an effort to reach hungry residents who do not have access to a local food pantry, The Foodbank began operating Mobile Farmer's Markets across the tri-county area. The Foodbank, Inc. is a VISTA sub-site of the Ohio Association of Foodbanks ShareCorps project.

Member Duties : The successful candidate will become a member of The Foodbank's dynamic team helping the Miami Valley's most underserved populations. The VISTA will create and facilitate a program marketing plan to boost attendance at mobile farmer’s markets and food/senior box distributions, organize community efforts around fresh produce distribution events, and assist in senior feeding programs focused in Montgomery, Greene, and Preble Counties. Candidate must have a can-do attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. VISTA will have unlimited access to a skilled team and the opportunity to learn from a successful nonprofit program model.
