ShareCorps- Thea Bowman Center- Youth Engagement Coordinator
 
 
 
Thea Bowman Center (TBC) provides services to about 8,000 participants of all ages. The center provides food support, in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Foodbank every Saturday and on the last Tuesday of the month. We serve a hot buffet lunch weekly to 200 men, women, and children in partnership with 5 church organizations. The center has after school programming (tutoring and enrichment activities) four days a week for K-8th graders. We provide after school music instructions and martial arts to children on campus at a local Cleveland public school. TBC provides adult education to residents seeking to obtain their GED as well as session on health and wellness. **TBC is a VISTA sub-site of the Ohio Association of Foodbanks, ShareCorps program.

Member Duties : Coordinating the development of youth and family engagement activities. Working with youth organizations in the Mt. Pleasant community to recruit youth and families to build a youth engagement and leadership project. Organize and create a resource guide for available community resources to share with our clients. Help to create and implement a job readiness program for youth ages 14-18 to set them up for success in the future. Join our community based organization to really make a difference in the lives of the Mt. Pleasant residents!
