St. Louis Food and Environmental Outreach

We aim to increase the amount of locally-sourced, environmentally-responsible, nutritious food in our region's grocery and corner stores, restaurants, schools, and other institutions, particularly in our most vulnerable communities. The project will support the efforts of the St. Louis Food Policy Coalition (STLFPC), a multi-stakeholder group coordinated by Missouri Coalition for the Environment to enhance the local food system, with a current focus on increasing food access in north St. Louis county and north St. Louis City. The project will engage various levels of the local food system to identify strategies to improve access to nutritious food in the most vulnerable communities of St. Louis while building up the local economy.
