Member Duties : • Create a list of available sites for summer vision screenings by contacting summer camps, nonprofit organizations, health fairs, schools, daycare centers, senior centers, etc.
• Schedule and coordinate vision screenings at schools, daycare centers, summer camps, churches, health fairs, senior centers, recreation centers, and community outreach fairs.
• Get trained and state-certified to conduct adult and children vision screenings.
• Provide vision-screening services to adults and children.
• Conduct community outreach with educational presentations on diabetes, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and eye sports safety.
• Manage screening data and supplying client numbers on a monthly basis.
• Track distribution of eye exam and prescription glasses vouchers.
• Assist our VISTA Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator as needed.
