ASU- VISTA Outreach Coordinator, La Esperanza Health Clinics

The VISTA Outreach Coordinator (VOC) serving with La Esperanza Clinics will increase access to affordable healthcare by building and expanding community awareness of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). La Esperanza Clinics serve a predominately low income population that is uninsured, underinsured, or unsure about their medical coverage and eligibility for services. The VOC will develop a comprehensive outreach plan to increase awareness in the community about access to services and eligibility for care through La Esperanza Clinics. The VOC will also cultivate new initiatives to expand outreach activities in women’s health and pediatric care. A successful candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish with an outgoing personality, ready to get involved with the community. Applicants should have experience with social media and traditional marketing techniques as well as be comfortable with delivering presentations and talking to individuals one-on-one about medical services. Experience with marketing and perception research would be beneficial. The VOC will need to be flexible and able to communicate with individuals from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and professional settings. New and creative ideas are always encouraged and we want the VOC to feel comfortable presenting new ideas and developing new partnerships throughout the community. San Angelo is a thriving community of 100,000 people and offers the comforts of a big city with an affordable cost of living and the friendliness of a small town. Along with the Concho River, San Angelo is conveniently located close to recreational lakes and a state park. With a host of shopping, restaurants, arts, culture, movies, outdoor recreation and family-oriented events, San Angelo has something for all tastes and interests.
