Member Duties : The VISTA will develop a system for reviewing current agency policies and comparing them to the most updated Texas Administrative Code to verify compliance and identify needed updates. While working with various organization departments, the VISTA will draft policy updates that will serve both the organization and meet State regulations. The VISTA will be responsible for writing a standard operating procedure (SOP) for the continued evaluation and development of policy and will beta test the SOP while assisting with the cultivation of at least one new program. The current plan is for this to be a partnership with Windham School District to create an ex-offender reintegration case management program. The VISTA will evaluate and refine the system for developing new policy as needed for future efficiency as new programs are developed.
