Kawaikini Farm-to-School VISTA
 
 
 
The Farm2School VISTA at Kawaikini will support Malama Kaua`i’s Hawaiian Charter School Food Program by building the capacity of school food and garden programs to ensure that no student goes hungry and no parent must choose between their child receiving a culturally relevant education or getting fed at school. The day-to-day work will involve launching new programs, building sustainability for programming, recruiting and managing volunteers, and fundraising to address community poverty and food access issues within the school community.

Member Duties : Work with school staff and administration to develop, fund, and launch culturally-relevant school food and garden programs Build systems for efficiency and sustainability of school meal programs, including localizing the procurement and purchasing of ingredients
