Arizona Serve - Quality Improvement Care and Education Asst.
 
 
 
El Rio Santa Cruz Neighborhood Health Center, Inc. (El Rio Community Health Center, El Rio) has provided primary care services to the underserved and uninsured of Tucson for the past 45 years, and is currently providing a medical home for 84,000 persons. The VISTA member will assist our interdisciplinary quality improvement team in working on three vital areas that touch on patient safety, quality of care, and assuring that the highest quality services are consistently delivered to our whole patient population including high risk and high health disparity populations. The VISTA member will work in collaboration with our quality improvement team members to help manage and oversee, as well as provide on-going patient and staff education around improvements in: 1) adverse drug events; 2) on-going quality improvement projects facilitated through our quality improvement team; and 3) serious safety event root cause analysis, staff education and system improvement. **Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, please apply immediately for consideration!**

Member Duties : The VISTA member will receiving training in the importance and role of Quality Improvement, help patient satisfaction scores, support the collection and analysis of data regarding adverse drug events, identify, establish, and develop relationships with staff and providers in El Rio clinics to improve the data entry of adverse drug events, assist in modifying data collection tools to track and trend adverse drug events, contribute to quality improvement projects, support the collection and analysis of data regarding various quality improvement projects, help implement best practices in the clinical setting, provide support to address serious safety event root cause analysis, staff education and system improvement, participate in the analysis of serious safety events and assist in the education and implementation of identified solutions, and help evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented solutions through data analysis and clinical audits.
