Nonprofit Impact

Prosperity Indiana supports a network of organizations – community-based nonprofits, governments and private enterprises – by providing capacity, financial resources, expertise, and connections that make community development work in Indiana. Prosperity Indiana's strategic plan is a roadmap to achieving organizational mission and creating adaptive prosperity. The Nonprofit Impact VISTA will help accomplish the plan and build capacity by supporting efforts to: develop a common outcomes framework for members to collect data, determine impact and tell the story of CCD; organize an institute (laboratory) that informs and demonstrates CCD practice; build Prosperity Indiana to a 300-member strong organization; and secure resources to leverage member projects. Candidates must possess organizational and leadership skills, verbal and written communication skills and work independently and as a team player. They should bring a focus on metrics and data-driven decision making and preferably have experience with research methods, tool design and validation. Candidates should have an understanding of communications strategies and storytelling to connect data with impact. A resource development background and understanding community economic development and nonprofits are also relevant. Prosperity Indiana is located in downtown Indianapolis at The Platform, a co-working space that houses national, regional, statewide and local nonprofits. The Platform is part of the Indianapolis City Market, which hosts vendors and weekly farmers’ markets, as well as the Indy Bike Hub/YMCA. Contact Jessica Love, Associate Executive Director, at jlove@prosperityindiana.org for more information. Start date: November 2017. www.prosperityindiana.org.
