Assets & Opportunity Network

Prosperity Indiana supports a network of member community-based nonprofits, governments and private enterprises that builds vital communities and resilient families. Prosperity Indiana provides capacity, financial resources, expertise, and connections that make community development work in Indiana to create "adaptive prosperity". Asset building refers to increasing financial and tangible assets, focusing on long-term development of individuals, families and communities. The Indiana Assets & Opportunity Network was established in 2014, with staffing by Prosperity Indiana. The Network is expanding opportunities and knowledge around financial capability, asset-building and fighting predatory practices and needs additional support to develop new systems, processes and connections. The Network VISTA would assess programmatic needs, engage the Network’s current partners, seek ways to build capacity, secure resources, attract new partners, create data collection systems, establish new programs, utilize technology to advance the Network’s mission, goals and infrastructure, and develop materials to tell the Network’s story. Candidates must possess organizational and leadership skills, verbal and written communication skills and work independently and as a team player. They should bring a focus on metrics and data-driven decision making and preferably have experience with research methods, tool design and validation. Understanding community economic development and nonprofits is also pertinent. Prosperity Indiana is located in downtown Indianapolis at The Platform, a co-working space that houses national, regional, statewide and local nonprofits. The Platform is part of the Indianapolis City Market, which hosts vendors and weekly farmers’ markets, as well as the Indy Bike Hub/YMCA. Contact Jessica Love, Associate Executive Director, at jlove@prosperityindiana.org for more information. Start June 2017, end June 2018. www.prosperityindiana.org.
