Chisholm Trail RSVP-Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (Dallas)

The Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA) located in Dallas, TX is a non-profit organization leading the development of an effective homeless response system that will make the experience of homelessness in Dallas and Collin Counties rare, brief, and non-recurring. MDHA serves to support the system of care created to respond to the systemic homeless problem in the Dallas and Collin County area. Our system of care works with individuals and families with health related concerns, severe and persistent mental health including substance use, lack of stable housing and sometimes lack of stable shelter and other concerns. We as the lead agency for the homeless response system work to resolve these problems through strategic planning and working with our partner agencies to see the strategic plan fulfilled. The Homeless Resource Development VISTA at MDHA will build capacity through the development of resource guides and tools to facilitate better systems of care for homeless service providers and homeless. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of his or her time in an office setting. However, the MDHA VISTA will play a dynamic role in ending poverty by increasing the effectiveness of our homeless response system. As a MDHAVISTA you will be part of a cohort coordinated by the AmeriCorps VISTA North Texas project at Chisholm Trail RSVP, Inc. Early applications strongly encouraged.
