Education 2 Careers - Better Futures for Idaho Youth

Coordinate the launch of a regional upper grade/young adult component to the Southeast Idaho cradle to career initiative focused on breaking the cycle of poverty. The VISTA will lead the effort to establish the community’s first-ever regional collaborative around increasing the number of young adults who attain post-secondary degrees or certificates, enabling them to significantly improve their economic opportunities. The initiative also seeks to strengthen the economy of the region by providing a pipeline of prepared employees to recruit and retain high-paying employers to the area. Specific outcomes of the project will be a written action plan, baseline data, partnerships, and an increased potential for funding.
