OneStar: Blanco River Regional Recovery Team- Volunteer Mgmt

The Blanco River Regional Recovery Team (BR3T) was developed to assist the four counties of Blanco, Caldwell, Guadalupe and Hays to recover from the floods that effected the region during 2015. Thousands of people were impacted across the four counties and hundreds of homes and businesses were destroyed. BR3T ensures these families and individuals receive the assistance they need. BR3T is comprised of representatives from each of the counties and addresses and assists the impacted areas in a timely manner. BR3T serves as a liaison for the various non-profit organizations arriving or operating in the area, and helps direct resources to where they will do the most good for the most people. The cultural differences across the four counties are large with a variety of people from an even wider variety of backgrounds, but the mission remains the same. It is the goal of this organization to provide assistance to those people and ensure that their lives have some sense of normalcy restored to them. Although people may have begun rebuilding their homes, they still require items that may not be readily available by insurance or FEMA funds. BR3T helps people rebuild their lives, not just their homes.
