Boys and Girls Club VISTA

Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County is a private non-profit organization that has been serving youth ages 6-18 for the past 52 years. We have had a consistent and dedicated mission to serve Weld County’s Youth and remains our central focus. It is through the work we do every day that empowers at-risk children and teens that we serve to do just that. The Clubs serve up to 500 kids each day, with 2,000 registered members operating in five locations throughout Weld County. Boys & Girls Clubs of Weld County accomplish its mission by being the only private non-profit in Weld County that offers comprehensive youth development after-school and summer programs in our Clubhouses as well as in school and community based sites. We provide the programs that help youth develop essential skills they need to succeed in today’s challenging and dynamic society. There are five key program areas which include education & career, character & leadership, health & life skills, arts, and sports & recreation. Benefits of such programs include improved self-esteem, improved academics, healthier peer friendships and access to positive, and consistent adult role models. These programs are a part of our comprehensive approach in utilizing our three priority outcome areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. These three focus areas make up the big picture of what our kids gain when they come to the Boys and Girls Club of Weld County. Through delivery of programs in these key areas, our programs have proven to have positive outcomes in three key areas, which are indicators for youth to successfully complete their education and become productive, responsible, caring citizens.
