SOTS-Four Winds American Indian Council VISTA
 
 
 
The goal of the project will be to increase funding opportunities for capital improvements through grant research and grant writing as well as to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator to serve with FWAIC. One of the main objectives of the assignment will be for the incoming VISTA to locate and apply to twelve separate funding opportunities. The VISTA will work with the Four Winds Chair on crowdfunding and work with the Fundraising Advisory Committee members to seek diverse funding resources and contacts.

Member Duties : Fundraising & Development: Research, identify and submit grant proposals for building infrastructure budget goal of $175,000.00. The VISTA will work with the Four Winds Chair on crowdfunding and work with Fundraising Advisory Committee members to seek diverse funding resources and contacts. Gather potential funder contacts to create a funder and donor database. 65% Attend at least one grant writing workshop and one nonprofit fundraising training with JVA Consulting or Colorado Nonprofit Association. The VISTA will work with a webmaster volunteer to build a Four Winds fundraising page with donor button component. Volunteer Management Recruitment: Identify and recruit a Volunteer Coordinator and will assist in building a volunteer database for Four Winds with specific specialty trades, repair and maintenance skills and some plumbing.
