Parks and Rec - Youth Camp Coordinator (Fairbanks)

The Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for developing and maintaining the FNSB’s park system, its indoor recreational facilities, and for providing year-round recreational programs to meet the diverse needs of the community. While some families can afford to send their children to youth camps throughout the summer, many cannot. Many families living in poverty cannot afford recreational programming for their children; however, the FNSB Parks and Recreation Department is determined to develop more opportunities for all families, regardless of income. The VISTA will play a vital role in developing sustainable programming through the Parks and Recreation Department that will provide run and rewarding recreational activities to children from low-income families throughout the FNSB. ***Benefits include: Monthly living allowance ($1,333), relocation costs ($0.34/mile up to $1,000) and settling in allowance ($550) for members moving 50+ miles, health benefits, child care assistance, training, and an Education Award ($5,775) or cash stipend ($1,500)***
