Boys & Girls Club Resource Development VISTA
 
 
 
The Resource Development VISTA will work directly with the development team at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint to support our efforts in that area. The organization serves youth ages 7 to 17 and focuses on inspiring and enabling all youth, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Specifically, this position will support the development team in resource development activities, which maintain the capacity of the organization. This service member will also gain experience while interacting with members of the Board of Directors as it relates to events and activities at the Boys & Girls Club. Another component of this program involves the organization, planning and development of various special events and fundraisers for the Club.

Member Duties : The Resource Development VISTA member will serve to identify new grant funding that the organization is eligible to apply for, in addition to putting together grant proposals, editing and assisting with the reporting components of various grants. The VISTA member will also work with the Board of Directors to increase engagement and interactions with the organization and our Club members. Additionally, this position involves donor data base management in GiftWorks and learning about the process for recognizing financial supporters of the organization. The Resource Development VISTA member will also serve to support the various special events and fundraisers that the Boys & Girls Club holds throughout the year.
